Overview

Sometimes safety training isn't enough to prevent accidents when operating wood chippers. In three quarters of a second, an employee can be pulled toward a machine's feeding mechanism, and the chances of activating emergency stops and averting a tragedy could be very slim. Join your host Scarlett Sadler and special guests, Arthur DeLoach, Stanislaus County Safety Officer; Derek Davis, Stanislaus County CEO-Risk Manager; and Jeff  Buchannon, CEO of Wood Chipper Safety Shield, for a roundtable discussion about the Wood Chipper Safety Shield and how Stanislaus County has retrofitted all of their wood chippers with this passive device to prevent accidents.
