 Join us at the Inaugural PRISM Annual Conference from September 30th to October 3rd in San Diego! The deadline to register is August 27th. You don’t want to miss out on the Keynote Session, “What Really Matters”, and 18 Breakout Sessions geared toward those in Risk Management, Legal and Liability, Workers' Comp, and Employee Benefits roles. PRISM will cover the cost for 2 individuals from each member to attend. This includes hotel accommodations, travel arrangements, meals, and all meetings, main sessions, and breakout sessions.

| California Minimum Wage to Increase to $16.90 Effective January 1, 2026 |

The California Department of Finance announced that the state’s minimum wage will increase from $16.50 to $16.90 at the beginning of 2026. Under a law that took effect in 2023, the minimum wage goes up each year based on the inflation rate of the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI), up to a maximum of 3.5% per year. The California minimum wage applies to all public agency employers in the state. The attorneys at PRISM’s Employment Practices Advice Service are available to answer questions and advise members of any major program at no charge.
