Risk Control Committee

Description of Committee

  • Eleven member committee, including
  • Nine voting and two alternate committee members, with
  • One designated public entity representative voting seat
  • Typically meets 3 to 4 times a year at the PRISM office or by web conference
  • Committee members are participants in various PRISM  Programs and generally have a risk control or safety background
  • Advisory committee under the direction of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors


  • Evaluates and reviews all matters pertaining to PRISM's risk control services
  • Advises and makes recommendations regarding programs specific to risk control and safety
  • Assists with evaluating new risk control services
  • Evaluates and reviews documents for inclusion in the Best Practices Library
