On March 27, 2024, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) released a series of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) addressing Workplace Violence Prevention in General Industry (Non-Health Care settings). These FAQs delve into various aspects of the Workplace Violence Prevention Plan (WVPP), including addressing logging incidents involving special education students. The signing of Senate Bill (SB) 88 (Chapter 380, Statutes of 2023) on October 7, 2023, introduced changes to California Education Code (EC) sections 39875 through 39882, focusing on Pupil Transportation (other than school bus) Driver Qualifications. This program aims to support school districts, transportation agencies, and school transportation operators in delivering safe and efficient transportation services to passengers and customers. The California Department of Education has developed a "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) website to address industry inquiries and provide clarification on program-related matters.
