Warm Weather Quickly Approaching
Did you know that school districts are required to train outdoor workers on heat illness prior to working in the heat? Cal/OSHA's Heat Illness Prevention Standard, Title 8 CCR, Section 3395, requires employers to establish a policy, which among other things, includes training to mitigate heat illness. The standard typically applies to a district's ground keepers, maintenance workers, campus monitors, yard duty workers, and custodians. Don't wait until the summer is underway to review  policies or get district employees trained. PRISM Risk Control has curated the following resources to help you get started:  If you need assistance accessing any of the resources above,  please contact the Risk Control Department.
