To accommodate as many members as possible, we plan to hold these meetings in-person with a hybrid option. | Addressing Homeless Encampments – New Locations! |

| Join PRISM Risk Control and Liability Claims Manager, Terry M. Butrym for a presentation on the challenges in closing a northern California homeless encampment. The discussion will focus on protecting your agency by minimizing claims and avoiding lawsuits. The audience will walk away with valuable tools regarding; interaction with campers, documentation, safety, personal property issues, and providing a relocation site after the closing. Free registration for all PRISM Members is currently open for Clovis on April 18, Folsom on April 30, Riverside on May 15 and San Diego on June 13. | Updates Made to POST-Certified De-escalation Course |

Pursuant to Assembly Bill (AB) 360 , PRISM’s POST-certified self-paced Use of Force/De-Escalation course was recently updated to remove all references to the term ‘excited delirium’ which is no longer a valid medical diagnosis. If you haven’t already shared this free training resource with your law enforcement departments, we encourage you to take this opportunity to do so. You must be a California peace officer with a valid POST ID to register. Please contact Sarah Bruno with any questions about registration.

Thank you to the 55 California Public Agencies that attended the PRISM 2024 Employee Benefits Symposium in Long Beach! It was a great day of members connecting with members.
