Heat Illness Resources
With the anticipation of very high temperatures in various parts of California, public agencies are advised to prioritize the protection of outdoor workers against heat illness. Cal/OSHA's Heat Illness Prevention Standard, Title 8 CCR, Section 3395, mandates that employers establish comprehensive procedures, including policies and training, to mitigate heat illness, and it is crucial for outdoor workers to receive heat illness training before commencing work in hot conditions.
