Be on the Lookout for Phishing Attempts
The PRISM finance team is in the process of collecting millions in annual premiums from its membership and is transmitting invoices via email for the convenience of all involved. These emails will be from invoices@prismrisk.gov or invoices@csac-eia.org.  We request that members be extremely careful when receiving emails asking for payments. Accordingly, members are encouraged to call PRISM at (916) 850-7300 to verify any request for payment which is unexpected or looks suspicious.

Also note that PRISM has not changed any of our bank accounts or routing numbers and any new information should be verified by voice phone call with the PRISM finance team.

What is phishing?
Phishing is usually an attempt to deceive you into thinking a legitimate organization is requesting information from you. These requests for information may look innocent at first glance or may seem to come from a legitimate source, but do not. These scams request you reply to an email, respond to a request by phone, or follow a link to a web site. They often have grammar, spelling, and syntax errors. Frequently there are “urgent” requests for payments in such messages.
