Property Program Grants
Are you part of the Property Program? Your entity is eligible to apply for a Property Program Grant, which includes up to $25k per member, per fiscal year, on a matching basis. Funds may be used for risk control programs and projects designed to reduce exposures associated with the Property Program.

One great way to use these matching funds is to protect vacant buildings. Applications should be submitted to the PRISM Risk Control Department by Dec. 14th to be considered at the next Property Committee Meeting. Student Completes Safety Management Certification
A big congratulations to Rebecca Fendick of Shasta County for completing the intensive five-part training Safety Management Certification. The Safety Management Certification training was created to facilitate a foundational knowledge of all things safety management: basics of accident investigation all the way to developing effective control measures that prevent employees from having injuries and illnesses. Managing Multiple Leaves of Absence for Public Entity Employers – 3rd Edition
Authored by Patricia Eyres, Managing Partner of Eyres Law Group and provider of the Labor Law/Employment Practices Services, an updated version of the Managing Multiple Leaves of Absence for Public Entity Employers Manual is now available. This edition includes significant updates to address the expanded California Family Rights Act (CFRA), changes to California Kin Care, the Healthy Families, Healthy Workplaces Act, Paid Family Leave, and more. A corresponding PRISMtv webcast is available on-demand – join Patti as she walks you through a refresher on leaves of absence and highlights the changes found in the third edition. This resource was developed exclusively for PRISM members so please contact PRISM Risk Control for password information.
CPR Manikins Available
PRISM has several CPR manikins we no longer need. They are designed for teaching individuals or large groups the life-saving techniques of CPR. There are 20 adult size torsos, and two infant size. Members who are interested in purchasing these CPR Manikins or have questions can contact Lori Scheel. Photos are available on request. Accepting all reasonable offers.
