Fiscal Analyst

Job Description:

The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for a Fiscal Analyst within the Administrative Services Department.

Under general supervision, Performs a variety of difficult and complex professional level analytical work to support the operations of County departments, agencies and programs in areas such as the development and administration of the annual budget, financial/fiscal analysis and reporting, grant monitoring and administration; and performs other duties as assigned.

This is a county wide classification. Therefore, the employment list established from this recruitment may be utilized to fill other vacancies within the same classification.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Public Administration, Statistics, or a related field and two years of progressively responsible budgeting, fiscal control and/or accounting experience. Relevant experience as defined above may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred: In addition to the minimum, additionally years of experience as defined above in a public agency.

Work Environment: Generally a typical office environment. May be required to attend meetings outside the normal business hours.

Special Requirements: Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation, which may include Live Scan fingerprinting prior to hire. DMV printout prior to hire. The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; maintain throughout employment. Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109. May be required to file statements of economic interest with the Yuba County Clerk/Recorder.
