Job Description:

The County of Yuba is currently accepting Full-Time employment applications for the position of Health and Human Services Program Manager I within the Administration and Finance Division. This position oversees payroll, reception, contracts, facilities, purchasing, appeals, Civil Rights, coordinating human resources and information technology services, and a host of other very diverse administrative functions within the Health and Human Services Department.

The incumbent will plan, organize, coordinate, supervise the work of staff, directly or through subordinate supervisors; coordinate division activities with those of other divisions within the department and departments within the County; recommend and implement changes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the department; coordinate, oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures; and perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social or Behavioral Sciences*, Social Work, Public Health, Finance or a field related to the work; and three years of supervisory or advanced analytical experience within a health or social services organization or closely related field.

*Examples of social or behavioral sciences may include: anthropology, criminal justice, economics, education, ethnic studies, human development, philosophy, political science, psychology, social welfare, sociology, welfare and women's studies.

**Some positions may allow for a substitution of experience for education. Candidates with strong experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred: In addition to the minimum, a Master's level degree as previously defined and additional years of experience as previously defined including budget development and administration and ongoing program planning, implementation and administration.

Special Requirements: Must attend meetings outside of normal hours; respond to emergencies during weekends, holidays and other off-shift hours; Must file statements of economic interest with the Yuba County Clerk/ Recorder; DMV printout prior to hire; Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.
