| 2026/27 PRISM Renewal Applications Past Due – Penalty Warning |

If your entity has not yet submitted them, renewal applications for the following PRISM programs are now past due:
The Renewal Timeline and Policy Statement outlines penalty provisions for members who have not submitted their exposure data. Click the program above to view a copy of this policy.
In accordance with PRISM’s Renewal Timeline Policy, penalties for missing deadlines are applied independently and may be cumulative if multiple deadlines are missed. If your entity has already requested and received an extension, please note that notifications will continue until the application has been submitted.
Penalty Details:
Penalties will apply beginning November 5th for EWC, GL1, and GL2, and November 7th for MedMal.
- The exposure used for premium calculations will be increased by 125% compared to the prior year.
- A minimum penalty of $5,000 will apply.
- The total penalty will not exceed 20% of the premium.

IT leaders, CISOs, and Risk Managers - Join us in Ontario on November 12th or Sacramento November 13th to discuss ways we can manage cyber risk in a dynamic and challenging environment, and explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape.
Registration is limited to PRISM members. Public Entity IT leaders and Risk Managers are encouraged to attend. This event is free! Travel and lodging will be provided for up to 3 attendees per member. | New Venue - Introduction to Hazard Identification Workshop |

If you have registered for Introduction to Hazard Identification on October 30th in Riverside, please be advised; the location of the workshop has changed. The new location for the workshop is:

If you've yet to register, please do so now to join us in-person! This 3 hour interactive workshop focuses on control strategies for workplace hazards. The target audience includes supervisors, aspiring safety or risk management professionals, and others interested in an introduction to hazard identification and mitigation. Participants will receive best practice information and resources on:
- Worksite Inspection Principles
- Job Hazard Analysis Strategies
- Conducting an Accident Investigation
