Advised Board SB10 Signed Into Law

October 6, 2006:  Advised Board that SB10 (Dunn) was signed into law providing that seismic risk level V (SRL-V) court buildings can now be transferred to the state if 1) Counties agree to assume all seismic liability for 35 years, or 2) participate in a mechanism approved by the state and thereby avoid all seismic risk liability.  A Seismic Working Group (SWG) co-chaired by Dave Kronberg (Sonoma Co.) and Clifford Ham (AOC) has been formed to develop the state approved mechanism to transfer and avoid seismic risk liability.  Dave Kronberg addressed the Board.
