Critical Incident Stress Management for Peer Supporters - Concord
Overview
This free training is offered by PRISM and The Counseling Team International.
Designed specifically for Peer Supporters, you will have the opportunity to engage in case studies, practical skill demonstrations, and scenario-based discussions to ensure you are equipped to serve your agency well.
Learning Outcomes:
- Define critical incidents and analyze their potential impact on individuals and teams.
- Accurately recognize the multifaceted signs and symptoms of critical incident stress in oneself and others.
- Effectively apply a range of strategies for managing personal and team stress in the aftermath of critical incidents.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the critical debriefing process and its practical application.
- Confidently identify and implement methods for providing support to individuals struggling with the effects of critical incidents, fostering a culture of resilience.
Registration is limited to first responders only. Additional certifications pending approval.
