PRISM Public Entity Board of Directors Soliciting Interest

PRISM is currently soliciting interest for the Public Entity positions on the Board of Directors

Effective July 1, 2026, the newly amended Bylaws took effect increasing the number of Public Entity Board of Directors seats from 7 voting seats and 3 alternate seats to 17 voting seats, and 3 alternate seats.  Three of the voting seats are designated for specific member types:  1 City member, 1 School member, and 1 Special District member.  The remaining 14 voting seats are elected At Large.  Board terms for voting seats are typically 2 years; however, due to the creation of the 10 new seats this year, 5 of those seats will be 2 year seats and the other 5 seats will be 1 year terms.  The 2 year terms will run from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2028.  The 1 year terms will run from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.

On September 30, 2026, 7 out of the 10 public entity board representative terms will expire (4 voting and 3 alternate seats).  This means that the total number of seats being voted on will be 14 voting seats - with 9 of those being 2 year seats and 5 being 1 year seats - and 3 alternate seats.

Regarding the 3 specifically designated seats previously noted, 2 terms are expiring this year.  Accordingly, 2 of the 14 voting seats will be filled by persons in these specific categories –1 will be the person from a City who receives the most votes, and the other will be a person from a Special District who receives the most votes.  The other designated position (School) does not expire this year.
