Zoom Workplace is our primary platform for communication and collaboration across the organization. It brings together chat, phone, meetings, and other tools into a single interface, reducing the need to switch between multiple systems.
This resource page is designed to help you get the most out of Zoom Workplace.
What You Can Do with Zoom Workplace
Chat with individuals or teams
Make and receive phone calls
Schedule and join meetings
Share files and collaborate in real time
Manage voicemail and call settings
Use built-in productivity tools like Docs, Notes, Whiteboards, and Tasks for lightweight collaboration (not commonly used across all teams)
Zoom AI Companion is a set of built-in AI features designed to help with tasks like summarizing meetings, drafting messages, and improving productivity within Zoom. Not all AI Companion features are enabled across our Zoom environment, so availability may vary depending on the tool you are using.
Chat history is retained at the company level for only 3 days. While messages may remain available locally on your device for longer, this local history is not backed up and can be lost at any time (for example, when you receive a new computer). Do not rely on chat to store important information long-term.
Call handling setup guide - All staff are assigned default business hours of 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. Outside of these hours, calls are automatically routed to voicemail. If your working hours differ, you must update your business hours and call handling preferences accordingly. Otherwise, all after-hours calls—including internal calls—will go directly to voicemail.
