The County of Yuba is recruiting for the position of Administrative Analyst. Currently, a vacancy exists in both the Community Development & Services Agency and the County Administrator's Office. Under general supervision, performs a variety of simple to moderately complex professional level analytical work to support the operations of County departments, agencies, and programs in areas such as the legislative analysis, evaluation and development of management/administrative policy, development, and administration of contractual agreements, and/or assists with program evaluation and planning; and performs other duties as assigned.
• Takes a customer-focused approach, establishing and maintaining effective relationships within a diverse workforce and community.
• Is organized, proactive, and adaptable to changes in workflow, effectively prioritizing tasks.
• Skilled in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data, and able to develop logical conclusions and make sound recommendations.
• Prepares analytical reports, summaries, manuals, and displays of information.
• Drafts contracts, policies, RFPs, and purchasing manuals.
• Prepares accurate administrative documents for managers, department heads, boards, commissions, and the public.
• Has excellent technical writing skills and is experienced in drafting business correspondence.
• Is able to interpret and apply contracts, ordinances, legislation, policies, procedures, and directives.
• Demonstrates strong mathematical skills, with a solid grasp of business arithmetic and statistical analysis, and applies this expertise to payroll, budgeting, accounts payable, data evaluation, and report development.
The minimum and preferred requirements are listed below. • MINIMUM: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major coursework in business or public administration, economics, statistics, finance or related field related and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience performing administrative analysis or departmental administrative and/or project support. Relevant analytical experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
• PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, two (2) years of experience equivalent to the County's class of Administrative Technician.
• The ability to obtain a valid California Class C driver's license within ten (10) days of employment; may be required to maintain throughout employment.
• Must successfully complete an extensive and thorough background investigation which includes Live Scan fingerprinting and/or credit check prior to hire.
• Will be required to perform disaster service activities pursuant to Government Code 3100-3109.
