Safety Officer

Job Summary:

This role serves as the County's lead subject-matter expert and strategic advisor to County leadership and departments on occupational safety, security, and emergency preparedness as well as Cal – OSHA compliance, threat assessments, and risk mitigation strategies, and oversees security at County facilities. This is a high impact role for a safety professional who wants to move beyond compliance and help shape a proactive, people centered safety culture across a complex public organization. The Safety Officer is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating the County's occupational safety, injury prevention, security, and emergency preparedness programs.
