The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is offering free Naloxone through the Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP). Eligible organizations include first responders, schools, cities, and county health and behavioral health departments. For more information and to apply, please visit the NDP website. As part of the application process, organizations must demonstrate that they provide training on how to respond to an opioid-related emergency.

PRISM Risk Control offers an existing course to assist Members in training employees on the prevention of opioid-related deaths. The course, Administering Naloxone, is available for assignment through the Vector Solutions LMS platform. This micro-course covers the essential skills needed to recognize an overdose and properly administer the nasal spray.
