The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) has developed the Public Recording of Police toolkit in partnership with the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) which offers in-depth information on the topic. It contains in-service training guides, a 12-minute roll call video, webinars, and a model policy aimed at helping law enforcement understand the public’s rights and limitations to such recordings.
