The Sub-committee met today, June 21st, and spoke about the meeting structure and how they would accomplish the Subcommittee's business in the allotted 2 hours for each meeting.

At its June 17, 2021 Board Meeting, the California Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards Board approved revisions to Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). Shortly thereafter Governor Newsom issued executive order N-09-21 allowing implementation without Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approval, making the revisions effective upon filing with the California Secretary of State.   

At its June 9, 2021 Special Board Meeting, the California Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards Board withdrew its June 3^rd revisions to Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). The effect of the Board’s action is the initial ETS adopted in November of 2020, will remain in-place until revised or rescinded. 

SB 95, signed into law on March 19, 2021, expands the COVID-19 related supplemental paid sick leave (SPSL) law. PRISM Risk Control discussed SB 95 with Patti Eyres, Managing Partner of Eyres Law Group, to get a better understanding of the important facts of the bill.
