Introducing Riskie Your Risk Management AI Assistant: Powered by Knowledge, Shaped by You
We’re excited to introduce a new member resource: our AI-powered chatbot Riskie, designed to support your risk management efforts with faster access to available service overviews, resources, and curated quick-start content. Think of it as a first step toward an always-available assistant trained on the tools and services you already rely on.
What Riskie Does
Riskie has been trained on a broad collection of member resources. Whether you're looking to understand available services or need a quick link to a reference guide, Riskie is here to help streamline that search.
What to Expect
This is an early-stage release. While Riskie has been trained on vetted and relevant materials, some information - like vendor contacts - may be outdated, especially where media or documents from previous years were used. That said, we’ve chosen content we believe remains functionally useful, even if not fully up to date.
And yes, while we’ve taken care in how we’ve structured Riskie's training, Riskie may make mistakes. It’s not a finished product - it’s a learning one. That’s where you come in.
How You Can Help
We’re inviting you to use Riskie and share your experiences. What worked well? What didn’t? What should Riskie know more about? Your input will directly inform how we refine Riskie's capabilities and prioritize future enhancements. This tool is here to support you and it will grow stronger with your feedback.
How We Got Here
This initiative began when our CIO, Tom Pelster engaged in discussions with Cal Poly’s DxHub, exploring innovative ways to improve how our members access critical information. Through that collaboration, we agreed to pursue a proof of concept for an AI-powered chatbot. The results spoke for themselves, delivering clear value by addressing a persistent challenge: making our content easier to find and act upon. With that success, our Digital team took on the implementation, working closely with select development partners to bring the concept to life. In under a year, their focused, collaborative, and thoughtful effort transformed an idea into a functional tool.
We're proud of what this first version can do and are even more excited about where it can go with your input. If you have ideas for new features or content the chatbot should include, don't hesitate to reach out to Nicole Montalvo, IT Manager. Your insight will help shape what comes next.
