Requirements:

Typical Qualifications: Any combination of training or experience that would provide the knowledge and skills to successfully perform the listed duties is qualifying. A typical way, but not required, to obtain the required knowledge and skills would be:

A - One year of experience performing duties equivalent to an Integrated Case Worker III and/or Eligibility Worker III in a California county Department of Social Services including one year of lead or supervisory experience in a social services program, or

B - Two years of experience performing duties equivalent to an Integrated Case Worker II and/or Eligibility Worker II in a California county Department of Social Services or

C - One year of experience performing duties equivalent to an Human Services Supervisor I, or

D - Three years of professional casework experience performing publicly funded vocational guidance services, employment counseling or placement work including one year of lead or supervisory experience or training in a social services program; and

E - Completion of the equivalent of 18 semester units (28 quarter units) or 18 continuing education credits in behavioral science such as sociology, psychology, counseling, vocational guidance, or any coursework related to the provision of employment services.

This required coursework may be obtained through colleges, universities, university extension, business school, or employer provided career development training, or A bachelor's degree in social work or a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.

Special Requirements: Some positions may require the possession of a valid and appropriate driver's license.
