The County of Nevada, California, located in the scenic Sierra foothills, seeks a Behavioral Health Program Manager, responsible for community outreach, maintaining good partnership with the schools, Child Welfare, and other Children’s Programs. The position supervises two Children’s Clinical Supervisors and is responsible for many contracts that involve children. Additional duties include strategic planning, ensuring accountability and integrity of program matters, applying for and managing grants, and executing personnel actions.
Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, a physical science, business, social services, sociology, psychology, or related field, and three years of experience in the program field at the advanced journey level, preferably in a community-based organization involving program development. In addition, pursuant to Section 5600 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, must possess a valid California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; Marriage, Family Therapist; or Psychologist (with an earned doctorate degree in psychology, educational psychology, education with a field of specialization in counseling psychology or education with a field of specialization in educational psychology); or, pursuant to Section 4999.20(a)(3)(A) of the Business and Professions Code, must possess a valid California license as a Professional Clinical Counselor.
