Job Description:

Trindel Insurance Fund is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) located in beautiful Weaverville, California, providing services to 11 member counties in northern and central California. Trindel Insurance Fund is searching for a Director of Loss Prevention to join a dedicated team of safety professionals. The successful candidate will partner with county staff to deliver high-value, loss mitigating, and loss-reducing results. The individual must possess strong technical and analytical skills, acute customer focus, and a passion for quality execution, as well as the requisite technical skills and experience. Salary range of $90,000 to $115,000; PERS retirement and health benefits. Loss Prevention Program This team works directly with eleven California Counties as a partner, teacher, researcher, and consultant, developing and providing occupational safety, human resources, property, and liability loss prevention activities. Requirements:

Abilities required for the essential duties: • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience • Excellent interpersonal and organizational communication skills • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills • Excellent, demonstrable writing skills, writes well, clearly, and concisely • Ability to develop, write and present loss prevention training curriculum Skills required for the essential duties: • Working knowledge of common computer word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc.), • General knowledge and understanding of local government structure and processes. • Working knowledge of California and Federal safety (OSHA and Cal-OSHA) rules and regulations • Working knowledge of California and Federal employment law and regulations • Thorough knowledge and experience in the use of various instructional techniques • Thorough knowledge of effective investigation techniques and methodologies Education & Experience required for the essential duties: • Must have a college degree in related field or significant related professional experience • Five (5) or more years in Loss Prevention management or closely related field • Five or more years working in a leadership/supervisory capacity • Possession of or ability to obtain by the time of appointment a valid California Class C Driver's License • Recommendation: o Safety management o Organizational design/development o Experience marketing and/or public relations
